Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy explains how Slafay manages delivery, freight handling and shipping updates for orders placed through our online store.

This policy works alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or consumer guarantees that may apply to your purchase.

 


 

1.Where We Deliver

Slafay currently ships to most residential and commercial addresses within Australia.

Some remote, regional or restricted-access locations may require additional freight review before delivery can be confirmed. If your address requires special handling or is outside our regular service area, we will contact you with further information.

 


 

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location, order size, product weight and freight requirements.

For larger furniture orders, freight costs may vary depending on the size of the items, delivery destination and carrier availability.

Any applicable shipping charge will be displayed before you complete checkout.

 


 

3. Order Handling and Dispatch

Once your payment has been confirmed, your order will usually be processed within 6–11 business days.

Processing includes order confirmation, production or supplier handling where applicable, quality checks, packing and preparation for freight.

During promotional periods, peak seasons or high-volume order periods, processing may take longer than usual. We aim to prepare and dispatch orders as efficiently as possible.

Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

 


 

4. Estimated Delivery Time

Slafay furniture orders generally require a longer delivery timeframe because many products involve production, packing, international freight, customs clearance and local delivery.

Estimated timeframe:

• Order processing: 6–11 business days
• Transit time: 35–48days after order processing
• Estimated total delivery time: 41–59 days


These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery times may be affected by production schedules, freight availability, sea freight arrangements, port processing, customs clearance, carrier operations, public holidays, severe weather, peak periods or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

 


 

5. Order Processing Schedule

 

Orders can be placed at any time through our online store.

 

For internal processing purposes, orders received before 4:00 PM AEST/AEDT are generally included in the same business day's processing queue. Orders received after 4:00 PM AEST/AEDT, or on weekends and public holidays, will normally enter processing on the next business day.

 

This processing schedule does not affect your ability to place an order at any time.


 

6. Delivery Updates and Tracking

Once your order has been shipped or handed over to the relevant freight provider, we will send you a shipping confirmation email with tracking details where available.

Tracking information may become active only after the carrier has scanned or processed the shipment.

You may be able to track your delivery through our website tracking page or directly through the carrier’s tracking system, depending on the freight provider used for your order.

 


 

7. Delivery Access and Customer Responsibility

Please ensure your delivery address, contact number and access details are correct when placing your order.

For large furniture items, customers should make sure the delivery location is accessible and suitable for receiving bulky goods. This includes checking entrances, lifts, stairways, loading areas, parking access and building restrictions before delivery.

If the carrier is unable to complete delivery due to incorrect details, restricted access, missed delivery, or customer unavailability, additional freight, storage or redelivery fees may apply.

 


 

8. Address Changes

If you need to change your delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.

We will do our best to update the address if the order has not yet entered processing, packing, dispatch or freight handling.

Once an order has been dispatched or transferred to a carrier, address changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges.

 


 

9. Damaged, Delayed or Lost Shipments

If your order arrives with visible damage to the packaging, please take clear photos before opening the cartons or crate.

If the product itself is damaged, please contact us promptly with your order number and supporting photos or videos so we can review the issue and assist with an appropriate resolution.

For lost or significantly delayed shipments, please contact us so we can work with the carrier to investigate the delivery status.

Where required, Slafay may arrange replacement parts, repair support, replacement goods, refund or another suitable remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and the circumstances of the order.

 


 

10. Delivery Delays

We make reasonable efforts to meet the delivery estimates shown on our website. However, delivery dates are estimates and may change due to circumstances outside our control.

A delay does not automatically cancel an order or entitle the customer to a refund once the order has entered production, packing, dispatch or freight handling.

If a delay occurs, we will aim to provide available updates and assist where possible.

This section does not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

 


 

11. Order Cancellations Before Shipping

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as early as possible.

Orders cancelled before production, packing, dispatch or freight handling may still be subject to an 8% payment processing fee, as outlined in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

Once an order has entered production, packing, dispatch or transit, cancellation may no longer be possible or may be managed under our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

For made-to-order or customised products, cancellation may not be available once production has started, unless required under the Australian Consumer Law.
